The Domestic Mission Field (Remember that we told you about this wonderful new opportunity to reach the inner city of St. Louis, MO in our last partner letter?)
This event was literally that biggest assignment I have ever received from the Lord. You might say, “Joan, how can you say that? Last year you fed and ministered to 12,000 people at Christmas!” Well, I’m telling you the truth, this weeklong event was the biggest most far-reaching event ever in over 41 years of ministry! I believe that every single person who served during this week, in any fashion was touched by the Lord and will be changed forever.
Here’s a sample of how one day went:
7:30 a.m. Wake-up and prepare for the day
8:30 a.m. Breakfast
9:30 a.m. Group Prayer
10:00 a.m. Leave for work/ministry destinations
12:00 p.m. Lunch
12:30 p.m. Return to work/ministry assignments
4:00 p.m. Return to hotel to freshen up
5:00 p.m. Group prayer
5:30 p.m. Dinner
7:30 p.m. Planned activities (street witnessing, feeding the homeless, DADS Class)
12:00 a.m. Return to hotel for a restful nights sleep
During the course of the week we:
· Rebuilt a burned out home
· Restored order and hope to a home where the homemaker, who had been devastated by MS, was unable to care for her home.
· Visited a crisis orphanage and nursing home where we prayed for each resident to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior.
· Went out on the streets of St. Louis, MO to feed and minister to the many homeless people and prostitutes we found there.
· On the Loop (a section of the city known for it’s cultural...) the teenagers from Chicago sang songs and presented mime that drew quite a bit of attention. When a good sized crowd had gathered they brought a clear presentation of the gospel

On Thursday, we held “Just Because We Love You Day” and had the privilege of meeting and ministering to the needs of a group of about 80 very special ladies most of whom had been incarcerated and are now working hard to re-enter society. We came in with a team of ___ women & children and gave these ladies makeovers & new hairstyles, manicures and outfits suitable for a job interview or a Sunday worship service. We ate together and prayed together, laughed and cried and gave testimony of the loving grace of Jesus Christ. We gave them gifts and told them over and over and over again, that, “From this day forward, you will never be the same!” And they haven’t been!
We have received so many testimonies from this one-day, for instance:
♥ “Thank you so much for putting the Lord in my heart. I appreciate the love that you showed me & the wonderful gifts you gave...” -CG
♥ Thank you so much for loving and caring so much about me, because sometimes I don’t love or care for myself” -Irene
♥ I thank God for the blessings of that day. I was so amazed to feel so much love!!! Watching the children made me to remember to stay a child in God!”
♥ I really enjoyed the “love affair” it was so nice. Please keep all of us in prayer. Thanks a lot!” –Barbara
♥ Thank you for a day of beauty, I had a lot of fun!”
♥ I really enjoyed myself. I really hadn’t enjoyed myself like that in a long time. Thanks! Thanks! Please keep me in your prayers.“ -Barbara
And the testimonies continue to come in! The head of the agency that we were in contact with for this special day told me that none of the programs or that they had tried had been effective. In this one-day, we accomplished more with these women than they have ever been able to do. They asked me if we would be able to come and do the same sort of thing for all of the women in their program.
This entire week was accomplished with just a handful of people and a meager amount of money. In order for us to continue with this type of ministry we need your help! For more details about incredible week please visit our website at www.jgmol.com or www.stlouishealingrooms.com
Within the last five months we’ve had so many instances of deliverance and healing. Here are just a few:
v We now have back brace hanging on the wall of our prayer room, a trophy of God’s willingness and ability to heal anyone of any and every kind of sickness, disease or injury.
v Many have been delivered of fear and oppression
v In May, doctors told one young man, Dave, who had been in a motorcycle accident, that he had broken his neck and his back. They told him that his injuries were very similar to those sustained by actor Christopher Reeves and that he would possibly have to wear a Halo brace and a back brace and was scheduled for surgery that Saturday. A prayer team from the Healing Rooms was dispatched to the hospital and that evening both he and his girlfriend received Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and she received the infilling of the Holy Spirit and spoke in other tongues. The team prayed for Dave’s healing and the next day as doctors read the latest MRI report they commented that they saw that something had happed to his back and that they no longer saw a need for surgery. On Saturday, instead of having surgery, Dave was released from the hospital. His injuries did not require a halo brace, though he does wear a neck brace and occasionally wears brace for his back. His recovery is already 60-70% complete and his doctor says he will be able to return to work in 3-4 weeks! Praise God!
v Children have been healed of...
v Several people who were battling with suicidal thought's ,have come and been delivered
v One young man named Jacob was delivered from drug abuse and since then his entire family has been born again.
v We need your e-mail addresses if you would like to receive regular updates of the daily activities of the St. Louis Healing Rooms and Ministries of Love.
